The United Church of Christ Disabilities Ministries (UCCDM) encourages all settings of the UCCC to be Accessible to All (A2A). Consistent with that goal, the Desert Palm United Church of Christ in Tempe commissioned a seven-person Accessibility Audit Committee to complete an Accessibility Audit of the church premises. The Committee conducted the audit, drafted a report, and presented recommendations to the church council in April.

Phoenix, AZ – On January 31, 2017, President Trump issued an executive order banning travel from seven Muslim-majority countries, sparking protests worldwide. In response, many faith-based organizations will file an Amicus Brief to the U.S. Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and in other courts, to oppose the executive order.

War, conflict and persecution have forced people to leave their homes, creating more refugees, asylum seekers and internally displaced people than at any other time in history. More than 65 million people are currently displaced – the largest number in recorded history.
