Rincon Migrant Shelter update

No More Burritos
Did you know that while held in detention, our families are served burritos (think freezer section burritos), and sometimes crackers and juice for every meal for every day they are there? A certain 8-year-old who recently stayed with us after 14 days in detention sat down for his first meal at the shelter, looked down at his plate of soup and fruit and tortillas and exclaimed, "I hope I never see another burrito in my whole life!" Want to bless our families with a warm nourishing meal - join us in the kitchen! We need you!!

NEW Volunteer Opportunity: Supply Manager. We need someone to help with keeping track of kitchen supplies and running to the store when needed. Contact Sarah if interested.

Opportunities for groups and families:  Small groups, school groups, church groups, community groups... we'll take you! You can have a hands-on experience at our shelter. OR we also can send YOU a speaker to your next event. Contact the Shelter Manager for more info.
