He will live on campus and present lectures at the campus and throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area during his month-long residency. A bestselling evolutionary eco-theologian and pro-future evangelist whose work has been featured in the New York Times, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Newsweek, Dowd will be joined by his wife, noted science writer and educator, Connie Barlow.

In the spirit of Tikkun Olam Rabbi Wiener and Pastor Meyer will celebrate in prayer and song ways we can heal the brokenness of the earth and the human community.   

The service will be at 11:15 am at the Sun Lakes Chapel, 9240 E. Sun Lakes Blvd N/.  Music will be with the joint choirs of both congregations with Erica Glenn from Sun Lakes UCC and Lana Oyer from Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation.

Church of the Palms registered for 2018 Phoenix Pride Parade

The LGBTQ Equity sub-group of the Social Justice Team has registered to be in the 2018 Phoenix Pride Parade on April 8, 2018. The Phoenix Pride Festival and Parade is the largest LGBTQ event in Arizona spanning two days with the “festival” and the “parade.” Last year, more than 37,000 people visited the festival over the course of the two days. The theme for this year is “United We Stand, Equality for All.”
