Friday, September 20, 11:00 a.m.: Climate Strike-Southern Arizona, at TEP headquarters, 88 E. Broadway Blvd., Tucson.

Friday, September 20, 2:00 p.m.: Climate Strike-Phoenix. We will be marching from the Maricopa County Courthouse across from Phoenix City Hall to the State Capitol. It is a 1.3 mile walk. Climate Change is the biggest problem we as a state, nation and world face today. On September 20th students from across the nation and the world will be striking again to protest inaction on the climate crisis. If you don’t want to or are unable to march you can meet us at the capitol where we will be holding a rally. Feel free to join us at any time. You don’t have to be a student to come, all are welcome!

Friday, September 20, 4:30 p.m.: Climate Strike – Tucson, at El Presidio Park next to the Tucson City Hall. Please register through Action Network at TinyURL.com/tucsonstrike so we can get an idea of how many people are coming out and send you updates before the strike. Remember: Bring Water, Wear Sunscreen and Wear Green!

Friday, September 20, 11:30 a.m.: Climate Strike NM, State Capitol @ the Roundhouse

Mobilize with thousands of youth and adult allies from across New Mexico to demand immediate action on climate change. We are converging on the Roundhouse to demand that the Governor declare a climate emergency, create a Just Transition fund and invest in the planning necessary for our state to reach carbon neutrality by 2030 with support for on the ground planning and transition processes for communities throughout NM, to place a moratorium on fracking, and to champion community solar legislation. Taos UCC is organizing with TILT and Climate Strike New Mexico to be part of the September 20th Climate Strike at the Roundhouse in Santa Fe (11:30-1:00) If you would like to be part of it please let me know if you would like to car pool. Tucson: Rincon Congregational UCC’s Creation Care group is calling students and adults to step away and out to the streets in support of Earth, our home. Tempe: Desert Palm will be holding an "after party" following the Youth-Led Climate strike at the state capitol on September 20th. This will be a chance for folks to either debrief or hear about the events of the day (the gathering at the capital that is scheduled from 2pm to 5pm, etc.).
