Shadow Rock UCC will celebrate, share memories, and wish Pastor Ken Heintzelman farewell as he begins an exciting new chapter in his life! His last worship service at Shadow Rock will be on June 28 at 10:15 am, followed by a catered Mexican Fiesta luncheon filled with food, fellowship and heartfelt appreciation celebrating Ken's 18 years of service to Shadow Rock.

Church of the Painted Hills UCC holds a free compassionate communication class on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 2 pm. Participants will learn language skills to support being their authentic selves, and to speak their truth and hear others without defensiveness.

Rev. Talitha Arnold of United Church of Santa Fe shared this poem in their May newsletter:

The Church of the Red Rocks held its first service on April 3, 1960, at the Chanticleer Restaurant, located at the present-day Blackmarr’s Furniture Store. Vernan Gunckel, a ministerial student from Arizona State College, conducted the worship and preached the sermon.

What famous author signed and illustrated the Chanticleer Menu in 1960? Visit the History Page on the church’s website for the answers.

First Congregational Albuquerque will participate!

What it Takes to Heal: How Transforming Ourselves Can Change the World

Wednesdays from 6:30 to 8:00 pm MST via Zoom
May 27th, June 3rd, June 10th, June 17th, and June 24th

Join Arizona Faith Network for their 5-week Summer Book Series on What it Takes to Heal: How Transforming Ourselves Can Change the World. We’ll be exploring multi-faith embodiment practices and rituals from local experts and through conversations and practices, this study will help us embrace the principles of embodiment, understand the beliefs that inform them and how we move towards a future in which healing is done in community.

This book is an invitation to help us explore our bodies, minds, and souls so we can develop the interpersonal skills necessary to break down the doors of disconnection and take the necessary risks to reshape our world toward justice. REGISTRATION
