Shepherd of the Hills gathered to bless Salavat, Ayaan, and Jakob, three exchange students, as they prepared to head home. These three young people showed up every Sunday and got involved. Pastor Rock and partner Ernie have hosted exchange students three times with Salavat and Ayaan becoming numbers 4 and 5 in their ever-growing extended family. Jakob was hosted by church member Renee and became a beloved part of the Shepherd community.

Folks were warmly welcomed by MTO Shahmaghsoudi– School of Islamic Sufism, where they explored the heart of Sufi tradition and even participated in zikr—a meditative remembrance practice. The experience was organized by the Arizona Interfaith Movement.
