What Earth Justice Sunday was like at Taos UCC

Taos UCC had 25 adults and 1 child in worship today. It was a wonderful, spirit-filled service focused on Earth Justice and protecting our only earth. We shared communion for the first time: corn cakes from corn grown and ground by our friends at the Taos Initiative for Life Together (TiLT), and grape juice from grapes grown in their community garden. People seemed happy to be there and moved by the worship service. A quartet of wonderful young musicians provided the music today, and they said they’d like to be our church band. People stayed for an hour after the service visiting with each other and signing up for Climate Actions we have coming up in the next six weeks.

Our next plans include a leadership meal and gathering, a road trip to Albuquerque to join our friends at New Mexico Interfaith Power & Light, and a meal and music jam with our church musicians. The next service will be held on November 19th at 10 am, at SOMOS on Civic Plaza. The theme for the next service is Desert Spirituality in a Time of Weirdness.

Thank you for your continued support and for your prayers.

Peace and All Good,

Pamela
