The Good Shepherd UCC had a very informative and well attended Community Forum on June 24 concerning Data Center Development in Sahuarita. The speakers were very well balanced bringing good factual information to the conversation. They included, Anna Casadei Community Development Director for the Town of Sahuarita, Brian Heithoff, Reed Spurling from No Desert Data Centers, Melanie Cooley from the Watershed Management Group, and Pima County District 3 Supervisor, Jennifer Allen.

”I believe it is important that churches like the Good Shepherd continue the long tradition of creating space where the community can come together to be better informed and have civil conversation on the important issues that our community is facing.” - Rev. Dr. Randy Mayer

Shadow Rock UCC reminds us: Many of us feel helpless to impact the current political climate. I keep hearing the importance of communicating with our senators and representatives. The website "5 Calls" is exceptionally easy to facilitate this type of communication. One can pick the issue(s) that have personal importance, and names, numbers, and scripts are provided. SUPER easy. Thanks!!

Fifteen children (many from the wider community) painted, created sun prints and books, did photography, cooked, wrote poetry, learned songs, and had a great time for a full week of United Church of Santa Fe’s first Summer Arts Camp. Many thanks to all the staff and volunteers who made it possible!

First Congregational Albuquerque invited their community to join their pop-up choir yesterday! A pop-up choir is a one-day only choir commitment; you rehearse at 9 am and sing the music at worship afterward! They sang "We Are a Rainbow by David Kai. After worship, the congregation made origami kites in memory of children who have died in Gaza.
