ONE Community's Non-Partisan Advocacy Training

Invitation from ONE Community Foundation:

On February 5th and 6th, ONE Community Foundation will be hosting a Non-Partisan Advocacy Training, and we want you to be there! This educational event will equip you with the skills you need to navigate Arizona’s legislative system, to effectively share your story, and to participate at both city and statewide levels of advocacy in order to enact positive change toward non-discrimination and equality in Arizona.

As a result of attending this training, you will:

  • Understand the landscape for LGBTQ-related policy in Arizona, and why/how updating our nondiscrimination policies are beneficial to everyone
  • Build the skills needed to share personal stories and effectively communicate with/influence elected officials to make policy progress
  • Learn how effective strategic advocacy can make a difference at city and statewide levels, and learn how to navigate these systems
  • Develop realistic individual goals and next steps for enacting change through advocacy

This event is for anyone who would like to advance their skills in advocacy on behalf of equality - including business professionals, students, members of the LGBTQ community, allies and family members, law enforcement, and people of faith. There is limited seating so be sure to RSVP as soon as possible to secure your spot!

We will be hosting two identical trainings - you only need to come to one! Please choose a training date and RSVP below.

Both trainings will be held at the Arizona Community Foundation’s
Debi Bisgrove Community Philanthropy Center -
5501 W Camelback Road, Suite 504b Phoenix, AZ 85016
