Vow to protect the open Internet!

May 30, 2017 in Faith In Action

From the United Church of Christ Justice & Peace Action Network:

The United Church of Christ is a long-time leader in communications rights. As part of that tradition, last year we founded the Faithful Internet campaign. Millions of us rose up in a movement to protect the open Internet, and we won.

The open Internet is a space where all of us -- no matter the content of our beliefs, color of our skin, size of our wallets -- have an equal voice.

Communication is the bedrock that enables us to push for social justice everywhere. We will not let President Trump's appointee overturn net neutrality protections. In this critical time, we need net neutrality now more than ever to fight and defend the future of our democracy. Our marches, vigils, petitions, and calls to action depend on organizing on an open Internet.

Join us in asking the Federal Communications Commission and lawmakers to protect real net neutrality – maintaining the Internet as a place where we don’t have to pay a network owner for our messages to receive attention.

Sign now to add your name to the list of faithful advocates who are speaking out to say - "We, people of faith and moral conscience, vow to build the resistance to protect the open Internet."

Your name will join with hundreds of others on the Groundswell Faithful Internet petition.
