Invitation to Clergy to Travel to Rwanda this Summer

May 18, 2024 in Conference News

Auburn Theological Seminary is partnering with Aegis Trust to recruit 20 North American clergy and theological leaders to travel with them to Kigali, Rwanda this summer for the Listening and Leading: The Art and Science of Peace, Resilience, and Transformational Justice Conference July 25-28, 2024. Travel support and scholarships are available for interested clergy.

The purpose of this conference is to deepen our knowledge of the art and science of peace, resilience, and transformational justice. The conference is taking place at a time when Rwanda is remembering 30 years since the genocide against the Tutsi and is expected to attract 250 people from around the world who are working on practical models to advance peace, forgiveness, and justice in the world. Aegis Trust's CEO, Freddy Mutanguha, shared Aegis's approach to healing during the second Dean's lecture earlier this year.

We invite you to apply to join the Auburn-Aegis Trust Cohort of leaders. Because of the time limitations for orienting participants for this cohort and for international travel, all expressions of interest are due by June 4. Travel support and scholarships are available for interested clergy.
