SUMMER OF HOPE: ONA WEBINARS CONTINUE
We've extended our webinar series for ONA and not-yet ONA congregations through this summer! With churches still unable to meet, this is an online opportunity to plan for your congregation's future. It's part of our "Summer of Hope" programming, along with daily online worship and weekly celebrations of new ONA churches. Our discounted rates allow any number of participants from your church to log in separately, and our season pass gives full access to the rest of the webinar series. If you've missed any of the earlier webinars, write us and we'll be glad to schedule a special session for your church!
PRIDE: PAST AND FUTURE
The coronavirus outbreak forced communities across the country to cancel Pride events this summer and in the autumn. Do you have a favorite picture showing your church's participation in previous Pride events, or special decorations inside your church for a Pride or ONA service? Post it on Facebook or Twitter with the hashtag #ONAPRIDE, and we'll share them with our growing community of LGBTQ-affirming churches! If you want to share a brief story about your congregation along with your photo, please do so! We'll assemble your pictures in a photo essay on the Coalition's website.
DAILY TAIZÉ MORNING PRAYER ON ZOOM
The Coalition's service of Taizé Morning Prayer is a refreshing and centering way to begin your day. The 20-minute service is offered Monday through Friday at 9 am and 12 noon EDT: the latter time is for the convenience of those in western time zones, or you can join as a mid-day break. Based on ancient traditions of Christian daily prayer, the service includes psalms, scripture, silence, chant and intercessory prayer. The link is below: you're welcome to join five minutes before any of the two scheduled services. For security reasons, please don't publish the address on websites or social media, but feel free to circulate to your email groups.
