Being and Doing Church

July 30, 2017 in Conference News

from Kay Huggins, Chair, Board of Director, Ecumenical Institute for Ministry:

Dear Colleagues in Ministry,

The  Ecumenical Institute for Ministry's mission is to offer programs designed for the development of church leaders. To that end, the EIM Board of Directors is planning a series of events in the coming year aimed at learning and exploring together the dynamics of congregational life and witness we share in our ecumenical community.  The attached flyer describes the first event to be offered on Saturday, September 9th.

We encourage you to forward this to those in your congregation with an interest in deepening their faith and growing in Christian witness. We know when congregations reach beyond themselves for spiritual enrichment they often grow in vitality and hope — and these days, we all seem to need such qualities in our congregations!

This workshop will be of interest to youth leaders, teacher of adults, those engaged in discipleship training or new member formation.  Consider sending  3-4 individuals as a delegation from your community.  And, if no one seems ready to attend or  someone is without resources, please use your wise words and resources to encourage them.

We promise you will not be disappointed and that this step toward ecumenical education will become a blessing in your congregation.
