Putting Faith into Action Through Generosity
Sun Lakes United Church of Christ continues to demonstrate its commitment to loving and serving our neighbors through generous donations of food and financial support to Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank.
Through the kindness and generosity of its members, the congregation collected several boxes and bags of nonperishable food, estimated at approximately 75–110 pounds, along with monetary contributions to support the food bank’s ongoing ministry of feeding individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
These gifts reflect the congregation’s belief that faith calls us to respond to the needs of others with compassion, generosity, and action.
As Jesus reminds us in Matthew 25:35, “For I was hungry and you gave me food.”
Sun Lakes UCC is grateful for the opportunity to partner with Matthew’s Crossing Food Bank in making a meaningful difference in the lives of our neighbors.
