🎶 Stephanie Anne Johnson at First Church UCC – Sunday, October 12 at 10:30 AM 🎶

October 04, 2025 in Church News

First Church UCC is thrilled to welcome acclaimed singer-songwriter Stephanie Anne Johnson (they/them) to sing in worship on Sunday, October 12 at 10:30 AM. Known for their soul-stirring voice and powerful presence, Stephanie brings a unique blend of artistry and spirit that invites deep reflection, joy, and connection.

Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Stephanie’s music has been described as a prayer. Their performances are more than entertainment; they are experiences that uplift and inspire. You may recognize them from NBC’s The Voice, where they wowed judges and audiences alike with their vocal prowess and heartfelt delivery. Beyond television, Stephanie has shared stages with legendary artists including Mavis Staples, The Indigo Girls, Macy Gray, and Taj Mahal, and even opened for political figure Bernie Sanders.

Their upcoming studio album, Sing, baby!, releases just days after their visit, making this worship experience a timely and intimate preview of their evolving musical journey. Whether singing gospel, folk, or original compositions, Stephanie’s work is rooted in justice, love, and the sacredness of communit values that resonate deeply with our congregation.

This special worship service will weave music, storytelling, and reflection into a celebration of creation, spirit, and belonging. All are welcome! Whether you’re a longtime member or simply curious to experience something extraordinary. Come early to find a seat, and stay after for conversation and connection.

You won’t want to miss this unforgettable morning with Stephanie Anne Johnson. For more about their music and mission, visit stephanieannejohnsonmusic.com.
