Re-Entry Simulation: Experience the Outside World After Incarceration

February 16, 2024 in Church News

Saturday, March 2, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm (including lunch)
King Hall, Church of the Palms United Church of Christ
14808 N Boswell Blvd, Sun City, AZ

Ever think about how our re-entry non-system promotes return to prison? Come experience how difficult it is to get around the roadblocks upon release from incarceration.  You’ll be given your own release status profile with requirements to be fulfilled immediately upon re-entry into the community. Then the fun begins! It will be an enlightening, fun and, sometimes frustrating, morning, and you will leave more sensitive to the “life sentence” that follows those once incarcerated. Come ready to do the work!

The United Church of Christ believes “Because we are followers of Jesus, we are called to be present as ambassadors of healing, restoration and justice in jail cells, courtrooms, booking rooms, prison yards and detention centers.” AND in the community!

To enjoy this free, eye-opening experience, please register by February 24 using the link below. A light lunch will be served after the experience, giving participants the opportunity to process the morning with each other.
