Celebrate Tucson’s Mexican Heritage

Saturday, September 14th, 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m

If you want to have fun and meet other young people from UCC churches in the Tucson area, mark your calendar for a Fall Family and Youth Event. We will be celebrating Mexican Independence Day downtown, at the Presidio San Agustin de Tucson. The Presidio will be flying the Mexican flag as it did from September 16th, 1821 through 1854 while it was operated by the Mexican Republic. Soldados of the Mexican Republic and La Gente will be on-hand dressed for the Mexican period.

We will enjoy tastes of horchata and hand-made tortillas as well as popular Mexican games and crafts. Mariachi Rayes del Sol from Tucson High will perform throughout the event.

We will meet at Casas Adobes Congregational,, then carpool downtown. Contact Pastor John Angiulo for more information and to reserve your spot.

We will have lunch at El Guero Canelo on Oracle Rd.
