Young adults interested in civic engagement and community organizing have an opportunity to participate in the GENVOTE PowerBack Movement School this fall in Arizona. The Arizona Poor People's Campaign is partnering with Generation Vote and other organizations to support this educational get-out-the-vote initiative, designed to equip participants with organizing skills and tools for civic action.

To help remove barriers to participation, Generation Vote is offering $125 stipends for the first 30 participants, age 35 and under, at each Arizona event location. Participants must attend the full-day movement school and commit to at least one nonpartisan poll-monitoring shift with the Arizona Election Protection coalition.

In addition, Generation Vote is providing free round-trip Uber vouchers for up to 30 attendees at each Arizona stop, helping ensure transportation is not an obstacle for those who wish to participate.

The PowerBack Movement School will make stops in both Tucson and Phoenix, offering young people an opportunity to learn, connect, and take action in their communities.
