An installation service celebrates the sacred covenant shared among pastor, congregation, and the wider United Church of Christ. Together, we will give thanks for God's call to ministry and affirm our commitment to walk together in faith, service, and love.

This celebration also honors the longstanding relationship between the United Church of Christ and the United Church of Christ Congregational in the Marshall Islands (UCCCMI), a partnership shaped by shared mission, mutual support, and a common commitment to justice. Over the years, the United Church of Christ has stood alongside the Marshallese people in bearing witness to the lasting impacts of U.S. nuclear testing, advocating for truth, healing, and justice, while welcoming and supporting Marshallese congregations throughout the United States.

As we celebrate Rev. Risen's installation, we also celebrate the vibrant faith, rich cultural heritage, and enduring witness of the Marshallese community. We invite clergy, friends, congregations, and members of the Southwest Conference to join us for this joyful occasion as we affirm God's continuing work through the Tucson Marshallese Ministry and this growing covenant relationship.

The offering will be received for the Southwest Conference Member in Discernment Assistance Fund, which provides financial support to those discerning a call to authorized ministry. Gifts help offset expenses such as seminary scholarships, educational opportunities, and other costs associated with the discernment process. Your generosity helps nurture and equip the next generation of leaders in the Church.
