Rincon Congregational will visit the Tohono O'odham Cultural Center and Museum on Saturday, February 21. They'll bring their own lunch which they'll enjoy at the Cultural Center while they debrief their tour.
The Souper Bowl offering collected by the children at First Congregational Prescott last Sunday totaled $405.81. They decided to give it to St. Jude Hospital.
The friendly Super Bowl of Caring competition between United Church of Sun City and The Church of the Palms concluded last Sunday. Between the two congregations, they collected ##### with the coveted Silver Ladle going to…The Church of the Palms! The real winner though is Valley View Food Bank, who has received all of the collected soup.
Leaders of Organized Solidarity, the collective that Emily Smith volunteers with, will be coming to Desert Palm UCC on Sunday, February 22 to thank the congregation for all they are doing, and also to do a Bystander - Know Your Rights training after the service. Shepherd of the Hills' Pet Memorial Garden is now ready for the internment of beloved pets' ashes. Plaques, $30, are in the shape of a paw print and approximately 3.5” in width and list the pet name, years of birth and death, and "loved by" names.
Desert Heritage Church helped to collect and donate 250 pairs of sneakers, boots, and work shoes to Mesa's Paz de Cristo's Sole 2 Soul shoe drive and Amazon Wish List. Shoes are the main form of transportation for many of their guests, so a NEW pair of shoes, especially as cold weather hits, was very important. It’s never too late to donate!

Holly Herman, who runs the East Valley Refugee Network, will be at Black Mountain UCC on March 22nd to speak to our congregation after worship in Johnston Hall. All church members, visitors, friends, neighbors are encouraged to attend to see an example of the impact of our Mission pledges and offerings. BMUCC has supported Holly's efforts for the past three years and will continue to do so in 2026.
