The Whole Life Center at Shadow Rock presents Solstice Sunset Concert 2017

December 13, 2017 in Church News

Join Lynne Haeseler, Artistic Director and Pianist, for our annual Solstice Sunset Concert. This year's event will feature the A Cappella Syndicate Chorus, Michael McCall (tenor), and Jeff Stein (storyteller), as well as instrumentalists Carl Rowe on trumpet; Kathleen Berger, soprano; Joyce Buekers, Jocelyn Obermeyer and Shannon Schumann on harp; Kathy Jones on timpani, and Sam Anderson and Keith Johnson on African drums.

The Solstice Concert has become a cherished tradition at the Whole Life Center, providing a uniquely beautiful time and space for all people to come together to observe the ancient observance of the solstice in a moving way.

Lynne says, "I have always been inspired and intrigued by the mystic composer Scriabin's idea of a 'universal work', using the sunset as a backdrop to a performance. Even the light changes in the room as the setting sun becomes a part of the musical performance."

Buy tickets HERE.

For questions, call Judy Schwiebert, Whole Life Center Director, at 602-769-5149.
